If you've reinstalled the app or signed out completely to use another account, your wallets and portfolios won’t appear automatically when you sign back in. This might make you think your assets are gone—but don’t worry, they’re still there.
Why is this happening?
When you reinstall the app or sign out, all local data is erased. To regain access, you need to restore each portfolio.
How to Restore Your Portfolios
- Tap "Scan card" and scan your card. Once done, you'll see the screen below.
- Select the portfolio you want to restore and follow the on-screen instructions.
- If you previously backed up your portfolio, your wallets will be restored automatically.
What If My Wallets Don’t Appear?
If your wallets are missing after restoring a portfolio, it means you didn’t back up your portfolio structure. In this case, you’ll need to manually recreate all the wallets you had before to regain access to your crypto following these steps:
- Tap the ➕ button and select Qubic to create a wallet.
- If prompted, activate the portfolio first, then follow the app's steps to create the wallet.
- If you had multiple wallets, create all of them. If needed, tap 'Refresh wallet' to update the balance.
Preventing This Issue in the Future
To avoid manually recreating wallets next time:
-
Go to the three dots menu > Back up portfolio > (Upload)
-
Enable "Save your portfolio structure".
-
Tap Encrypt & upload, and follow the app’s instructions.
⚠️ Important: You need to do this every time you create new wallets to ensure they can be restored automatically in the future.
Repeat these steps for all your portfolios to restore access to all your wallets.
